Résumé Abstract: "The issue of religion and fair trade is a thorny and complex one due to the many religious ramifications that affect the lifestyle of its followers. In addition, it is well-known that religion is an essential source for building a religious person’s personality in terms of values, principles, and concepts. And due to the current importance of the fair trade concept. Which is about applying a new trading system that guarantees the implementation of social justice and equality, and in addition to that, it ensures that the marginalized workers and producers will be receiving just and decent incomes, especially the ones in the developing countries. This study aims to determine if the religious background of Muslims and Catholics can impact their attitudes towards fair trade in a secular society like Belgium. In addition to checking the differences that affect the purchasing decision of fair trade consumers from a Muslim, Catholic, or even secular community. After illustrating the theoretical point of view of this research. And, to get an in-depth overview, three experts from the three key fields of the study are interviewed. Concerning the hypotheses, interviews were conducted with nine participants from Belgium. The results had shown that the religious teachings of the participants play an influential role in their attitude towards fair trade. These results showed a positive impact from their religious background on their attitude towards fair trade.
